Our meeting on 14 September will be a writing workshop led by Nikki, to help us brush up our writing skills. It will be fun and friendly and suitable for all levels.

‘Structure in Non-Fiction’ is a free online workshop conducted by Damian Le Bas (author of ‘The Stopping Places and The Drowned Places), on 17 March. No charge, but you must book tickets.
Our 12 January meeting was a session on short stories. Our planned facilitator was unfortunately unwell, but we looked at the advice given by successful writers and discussed our favourites.
Our meeting on 9 June was an open meeting, for sharing, reading work, and discussion. We read our work, which covered a variety of topics from the humble pressure cooker, a handbag, this “island of strangers”, childhood memories and death.
Our workshop session on 14 April was an evening of discussion and encouragement, with members reading short pieces of their recent work.
